Frequently asked questions
What Clarimeta does, how projects are scoped, and the things we will not promise. If your question is not here, ask it.
What does Clarimeta do?
Physician-led medical research support across study design, evidence synthesis, systematic reviews, meta-analysis, biostatistics, real-world data analysis, manuscript preparation, publication support and reviewer response.
What does “research you can defend” mean?
That the question, design, methods, analysis, reporting and interpretation are clear and consistent enough to withstand scrutiny — from a supervisor, a reviewer, an editor, or yourself in two years.
Can I hire Clarimeta for only one stage?
Yes. A statistical analysis, a meta-analysis, a protocol, a search strategy or a reviewer response can each be requested on its own.
Can you design a study from scratch?
Yes, and it is usually the point at which help is worth most. Question refinement, design, outcomes, comparators, confounders, feasibility and the analysis plan can all be built before data collection begins.
Do I need a finished protocol before contacting you?
No. An early idea, a draft protocol, a dataset, a manuscript or a set of reviewer comments are all reasonable starting points.
Do you provide R or Stata code?
Where applicable, analyses are delivered with documented code so the workflow can be inspected, rerun and extended.
Can you work with my existing dataset?
Yes, if it contains the variables the research question needs. If it does not, we will say so before work begins rather than after.
Can you perform a systematic review?
Yes — question refinement, protocol, screening workflow, extraction, risk-of-bias assessment, synthesis, reporting and manuscript support.
Can you perform a meta-analysis?
Yes, when pooling is methodologically appropriate for the included evidence. We will also tell you when a pooled estimate would mislead.
Can you help with real-world or observational data?
Yes: design, cohort definition, confounding strategy, statistical analysis, sensitivity analyses and interpretation that stops where the design stops supporting it.
Do you work with specific commercial databases?
Ask about the source directly. We do not claim experience with a named database on this website unless it can be substantiated.
Can you write my manuscript?
We support manuscript development within an agreed scope and authorship framework — particularly methods, results, tables, figures, reporting alignment and interpretation. Scientific accountability and final approval remain with the research authors.
Can you help with reviewer comments?
Yes. Point-by-point responses, revised text, and additional analyses where they are appropriate rather than merely requested.
Do you guarantee publication?
No. Publication depends on journal fit, novelty, editorial priorities and reviewer judgement, none of which any provider controls. A guarantee would be misleading.
How are projects priced?
By scope: complexity, timeline, the condition of the available materials, the number of analyses, the deliverables and the revision requirements. Send the scope and you get a written quote.
How long does a project take?
It depends on scope and on how complete the starting materials are. We give a timeline with the quote rather than a standard figure that would not hold.
What if you think my study is not worth doing?
We tell you before you pay for it. A project that cannot answer its own question is not a project worth either of us starting.
